How To Register Your Child for St. Ignatius High School

Visit the office to make payments and register your child. If you choose to make payments online, please provide a copy of the transfer receipt to the accounts department for verification.

Visit our office to pick up a physical application form. Our friendly staff will assist you with any questions you may have.

Alternatively, you can apply online through our student information database or the fillable PDF. Fill out the application form and submit the required documents digitally.

03. Submit Required Documents

Complete the registration by submitting all required documents either in person at our office or by uploading them online. Our admissions team will review your application and contact you with the next steps.

Grading System

  • There are nine standard letter grades that you can receive at SIHS.
  • Each grade is assigned a grade point value which is used to determine your grade point average (GPA).
  • Students are expected to keep track of their own grades.
  • Extra credit, if any, will be given at the teacher’s discretion

Language & Humanities

Teachers in the Language & Humanities department collaborate closely with their Head of Department (HOD) to deliver a robust curriculum that enhances students’ communication and business skills. Together, they design lesson plans, assess student progress, and implement innovative teaching strategies to ensure students are well-prepared for academic and professional success.

Business & Mathematics

In the Business & Mathematics department, teachers work alongside their HOD to integrate cultural, social, and historical studies with modern technological education. They jointly develop interdisciplinary projects, coordinate the use of technology in the classroom, and ensure that students receive a balanced education that prepares them for the complexities of the modern world.

Science & Technology

Teachers in the Science & Mathematics department partner with their HOD to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment. They collaborate on designing experiments, developing problem-solving activities, and utilizing data to track student progress. This teamwork ensures that students build strong analytical and critical thinking skills essential for STEM careers.

Student Affairs & Discipline

Teachers in the Student Affairs & Discipline department work under the guidance of their HOD to maintain a supportive and disciplined school environment. They assist in developing programs that promote positive behavior, manage student issues, and provide guidance and mentorship. Their collective efforts help students develop into responsible and respectful individuals.

Business Studies

Our Business programs, including Principles of Accounts (PoA), Principles of Business (PoB), and Street Law 101, provide students with a robust understanding of financial management, business operations, and legal fundamentals. These courses equip students with the essential skills and knowledge required for successful careers in accounting, finance, business management, and law.

General Studies

The General programs at St. Ignatius High School encompass Home Economics, Agriculture, and Tourism Management. These courses focus on practical life skills, sustainable farming practices, and the dynamic world of travel and hospitality. Students gain hands-on experience and theoretical knowledge, preparing them for diverse careers in hospitality, agribusiness, and tourism.

Science Studies

Our comprehensive Science curriculum includes Chemistry, Biology, and Intermediate Physics. These programs provide students with in-depth scientific knowledge and hands-on laboratory experience. By exploring the principles of matter, life, and physical phenomena, students are well-prepared for careers in medicine, engineering, environmental science, and research.

STEM Studies (New)

St. Ignatius High School’s STEM programs feature innovative courses such as Intermediate Physics, Introduction to Engineering, and Introduction to Architecture. These programs offer practical, hands-on learning experiences. Students gain critical technical skills and knowledge, preparing them for high-demand careers in engineering, architecture, and technical fields.

Program Highlight

The Welding & NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) program will be rolledout for the new academic year. The Street Law 101 Program has been in place since 2018, in collaboration with Street Law Caribbean, to promote legal literacy among students.

Welding & NDT Program (Elective)

Our Welding/NDT Program, offered in collaboration with the STEM U Foundation, is available as an elective for students interested in technical skills and hands-on learning. This program provides practical experience in welding and non-destructive testing, preparing students for high-demand careers in technical fields.

Street Law 101

Street Law 101 at St. Ignatius High School empowers students with essential legal knowledge. This course covers the basics of law and the legal system, providing practical skills and legal literacy to navigate everyday life confidently and responsibly. Students gain a foundational understanding of their rights and responsibilities, preparing them for informed and active citizenship.
