Level 1 Welding Course
St. Ignatius High School’s Adult Education Division is thrilled to unveil its highly anticipated Level 1 Welding Course, an initiative designed to empower individuals with essential skills in a field that continues to experience significant growth and demand. This new educational offering is poised to equip adult learners with practical knowledge and technical skills, positioning them for success in various industries where welding expertise is needed.
A Launch Event to Celebrate Partnerships and Community. Global Collaboration for Local Impact.
The launch event will mark the commencement of this exciting educational opportunity and serve as a platform to celebrate the valuable partnerships that have made it possible. STEM U Foundation and the NDE Institute (located in the USA) are key collaborators in this initiative.
Their commitment to advancing knowledge and skills in welding aligns with our mission to provide high-quality vocational education to our learners.
The NDE Institute will play a pivotal role in offering the welding program, bringing its extensive expertise and resources from the USA to the adult learners at St. Ignatius.
This collaboration underscores our dedication to ensuring that students gain cutting-edge, industry-relevant training that can be applied locally and internationally.
Program Duration and Instruction
The Level 1 Welding Course is a 12-week program that runs on Thursday evenings from 5:30 PM to 9:05 PM. It is accessible to working adults seeking to expand their skill set or explore a new career path. The course will be taught by experienced instructors Mr. Jarrus Mitchell and Mr. Bricenio Kus, who will guide students through the theoretical and practical aspects of welding.

We invite the community to the official launch event on September 12, 2024, from 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM. The event will be streamed live on The Kent Pandy Show, offering an opportunity for the wider community to celebrate this new addition to our adult education programs.
